Staff members were non-welcoming, direct, and obviously was not there for the customer service. Food, however was delicious, warm, fresh and worth it. The hiking around the area was a bit harsh, not up-kept, and a mess. The viking village was out-dated, not maintained, but still kinda cool to see. Very inexpensive to see. If you’re in the area, I would still recommend it.
Cute place. Very basic. It was sufficient for one night. Beds were clean. It took a while to heat up the room and we had a plumbing leak in the bathroom but the service was great and the cafe provided a fun intimate place for guests. Also excellent location as you get private access to Vestrahorn.
We had the best time here ! So funky and in a beautiful area , loved the simplicity.. Close to Hofn for dinner and shopping . Super cozy room and cozy breakfast.the staff was so friendly. The bed was heavenly. I was so excited to stay at the vestrahorn ! I would definitely recommend and come back here if I ever am lucky enough to return to Iceland!
This is a charming cafe about 2 miles down a dirt road from the main highway. The coffee and food are very good. It’s a short but scenic drive and I nice place to grab a coffee and a snack.
The food here is overpriced for what it is. 2 adults paid for 2 sandwiches and 2 beers and it was $56USD. We also did the Viking Village which was built for a movie set in 2009 so while interesting is not historic or worth the $14.
