Have been many times over time but this last time was different. Although the food was still great (I recommend the bacon wrapped oysters with special sauce) the atmosphere was much different, the pictures they had in the nice booths were all gone( due to new owners i suppose). The pictures made it a nice family home feeling. The bar was busy that night with very loud customers, it was hard for the waitress to hear us ordering.
The food was pretty good but when we got our bill the prices were considerably higher for steaks than what was on the menu. The manager came over and said that the prices had gone up with the new owned but they hadn’t gotten time to change the menu. How do you charge something different than what is shown in the menu. She never offered to change it. We won’t be back. Looks like The Stockyard will be getting out business from now on.
First time dining. Staff was very welcoming, including BOH (back of house aka kitchen).. Bubbles, the bartender was very nice amd helpful with suggestions. Even the other patrons were nice and having conversations with me. The food was so delicious and drinks are great. Good quality for good prices. I had the Bangin Shrimp appetizer and Truck stop Hamburger steak and onions. Delicious. Ceasar salad was fresh, and the dressing had a slight kick for a Ceasar dressing, but I liked it. Overall, it was a great experience, food, and environment. Hope to go back when I come back in town.
The World's best French dip, is the best I've ever had. And their Caesar salad is really so amazing. I would recommend every time.
