The Royal Bull - Swakopmund

We had a wonderful experience with the service—everyone was friendly and attentive. The food was excellent, and the portions were very generous. The game carpaccio stood out as particularly delicious and well-seasoned. One small issue was that some dishes were served a bit too cold; a quick five minutes at room temperature would have been perfect. The burgers were great and definitely recommended. The only downside was the grilled vegetable side; it was steamed and lacked presentation. Overall, we highly recommend this restaurant, and the service was fabulous!

Best Pizza in Town! I'm new to Namibia and have been searching for four months for a pizza that meets my expectations. After numerous disappointments, I decided to try The Royal Bull. I was amazed—it completely exceeded my expectations! The tomato base is made from fresh, genuine tomatoes and tastes incredible. The toppings are finely chopped, so you don't have to struggle with any ingredient when you take a bite. The cheese is perfectly balanced, not too much or overly processed like at some other places. This is definitely my number one pizza in all of Namibia and South Africa. I'm very impressed. Well done!

The burgers were absolutely delicious! I really hope they can bring back the old waiter who usually served us; he was so friendly and quick with drinks and food. The young server we had last time seemed to move at his own pace, and we had to wait 35 minutes for our food despite the restaurant not being very busy. Still, I’m giving them a well-deserved 5-star rating!

Very nice and clean restaurant. Service at the reception was friendly and fast. Reservations are available but not required. Seats were very good and spacious. The staff was friendly and efficient. The selection of dishes in the menu was good. Takeouts are also available. Bathroom cleanliness was good. Location is in the middle of the city and enough parking is available at or near the restaurant. The atmosphere is good and the decor is impressive, except that the music has done a little too “rave” and better with something more suitable for the setting. It is a place for a romantic dinner, offers a family and singles setting. Beverage selection and wine list were good and a bar is available. Prices are on the higher side, but the quality of food is good.

Not an easy review to make because the waiter was good and knowledgeable, the burger had good flavour. However it was a child 's portion for an adult gourmet burger price. I feel the place has fell victim to the classic mistake of loosing the focus of what a good burger is all about and tried to go too fancy. There is no real option to take a good old classic burger or cheese burger and if you do take a plain burger for N$65 you get an approximately a measly 50g patty. Being a quality over gluttonous person I still feel I got a snack for the price of a full evening meal and so did my 7 year old that ate the N$80 burger with extra cheese and chips. Can 't see myself going back at that sort of price as we all felt we needed a takeaway on the way home to be satisfied.
