Always on the look out for a decent Pie Mash and this café did not disappoint. Great food, friendly service and lovely place. Pies were Moorish. I'm coming back for more.
When I arrived at this cage off the busy main road of Sheerness, I was hungry and looking for some really decent coffee after a busy morning. The 'At the Seaside Cafe ' not only delivered, but I felt as though I was right on the beach. Kn such a hot day even though the beach is a few metres away across the road, with the prettily painted seaside cottages opposite, the afternoon sun streaming sideways in through the door and a gentle breeze i felt the coolest I had felt all day. With a cup of divine coffee and the best toasted sandwich I 've ever had in front of me, I quite happily sat there; nice and chilled for a change. I liked the lack of noisy TV and badly chosen music but the fridge was a little noisy. Add to that there are no prawns available I could have found myself disappointed, but I wasn 't. There are full meals available, some home made, including ye olde pie and mash. If you can get past the fridge noise and lack of prawns (and crisps) you should enjoy a visit to the 'At the Seaside Cafe, in the beautiful historic town of Sheerness. (I hear the home made apple cake is something out of this world too).
My first visit to this spotless cafe, I found a varied menu and helpful staff. I do have a problem with modern cutlery being hard to use but this was changed immediately and the meal was excellent. Home made and tasty, the coffee was very good also. I will visit again for sure.
