Located in a stunning, wilderness setting with beautiful views of the estuary and abundant birdlife, this restaurant is a hidden gem. The staff were attentive and the atmosphere of the pub/restaurant was warm and inviting. The menu was limited, which could be restricting for longer stays, but the dinner, made with fresh, local ingredients, was enjoyable. Breakfast was a highlight, featuring delicious homemade sausages and bacon. The rooms were newly renovated, spotlessly clean, and the beds were comfortable. The restaurant is dog-friendly, with a £20 charge.
Wow!! Probably the best meal out I've ever enjoyed! The chef is clearly a creative genius, as each course was beautifully presented and an absolute dream on the taste buds. Decent portion sizes but so good, it was sad to finish them. Being a vegan, I find some places offer the same uninspired things but the Ferry House offered truly interesting and superb choices as well as being totally delicious. All fresh and homegrown ingredients. Stunning, awesome and extremely high quality. A big shout out to our smiley, friendly and attentive server Abby who was just lovely and enhanced the experience further. Thank you!
We had a great time at this well-known establishment. The food was delicious, especially during Sunday lunch. They use locally sourced ingredients and the service was excellent. It's a great pub restaurant and definitely worth the trip.
