Contribuisci feedbackWe had our New Year's Eve dinner at this restaurant once again, and it was just as delicious as we remembered. The service was excellent, the food was great, and the atmosphere was lovely. Highly recommend!
The restaurant experience was a bit of a mixed bag. My meat-eating friend thoroughly enjoyed his meal, especially the belly pork which looked very appealing. However, as a vegetarian, my options were limited to only 2 dishes. Unfortunately, my tofu risotto was not satisfying as the tofu lacked flavor and was overcooked to the point of being burnt. I have dined in many plant-based restaurants where the dishes are flavorful and delicious, so I was disappointed with the lackluster vegetarian options at this restaurant. Tofu is usually bland and needs to be properly seasoned and marinated to enhance its taste, but in this case, it seemed like it had just been quickly seared and thrown into a mediocre risotto. This was disappointing as I had high expectations after reading positive reviews about this restaurant.
The staff was delightful, the food was exquisite, and I thoroughly enjoyed the cozy and laid-back atmosphere. The dishes were cooked to perfection.
My husband and I have been going to Gilligans for a number of years. In a nutshell, it's superb. Ruth, the owner, offers a warm welcome and excellent service. Ruth and Elliott, the chef, offer a wide menu and specials board, and never fail to impress. Highly recommend this restaurant.
My partner and I visited here and were not disappointed. Lovely food and great service to boot. Would definitely recommend. One slight drawback was lack of parking but not a lot Gilligans could do about that. However if you want a lovely meal then using a taxi is no hardship plus it means drivers can have a drink with no worries .
