Contribuisci feedbackThree of us booked for Sunday lunch. Hubby and I chose the lamb, which was absolutely scrumptious. Grandson, who is vegetarian chose the nut roast (no other option). The selection of vegetables was okay peas, carrots, cabbage and swede. An option of cauliflower cheese would have been nice at an extra cost. It was however, disappointing not to have a Yorkshire pudding. It seems that they only come with the beef. My grandson in particular would have liked one he didn’t have any roast potatoes either, which I think is ridiculous. It was a very tasty dinner with real gravy but for the price yorkies should have come as standard.
No complaints regarding food, well presented and served quickly. The ambiance is lovely, staff are friendly and efficient. This was my fourth visit in as many months. Portions were very good! Menu, albeit small does the job! Deserts were fabulous!
Visiting Morrison hospital, so popped in for lunch on the way home. Very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the cooking. 3 thick lamb chops, seared to perfection and slightly pink, yet the fat had been rendered well, no small achievement. The lamb potatoes, gravy and carrots very tasty. Frozen peas are..well frozen peas. I had seafood linguine. The linguine was so al dente, the way I like it and the sauce was flavoursome. Most of the seafood was good, the squid rings slightly over cooked. Too much for me but I prefer quality over quantity. Tom you can cook and I will come again and recommend you pub to my friends. The Abbot Ale was good too. So I would say that the Plough is a welcome stop on the way to and from the hospital
This pub could be a gold mine if run properly.Attended with a large group for drinks outside.Benches are all broken plus cigarettes butt's everywhere.Didnt have no ice to put in drinks.Kids had meals which where shocking for the price.Cheap chicken nuggets and uncooked chips. The menu was ridiculous ly priced.Who wants them type of meals in a village pubs Apparently the owners are the same as the eagle further down the road. The eagle menu will knock spots off it.Friday night it was dead nobody having a meal. They need to up their games otherwise they will be closing like all the other owners
