Contribuisci feedbackBottomless brunch. So we were a party of 10. We were out in the ‘shed’ in the rear garden, it was nicely decorated. But freezing! There was an electric radiator in there that and not been put on before hand, which I feel with it being a raining day in October, it should have been. But ok that may have been over looked. The drinks, came in small jugs we all had one each. We requested glasses. A small few came with lipstick on. The cocktails had little if any alcohol. But her girls did call to check on us regularly. The house wine, a mixture of people in our group had rose and white, the white actually made one member of our party gag it was disgusting. Even though she drinks the dry wine and they were offering dry wine. The food was nothing special, I chose rice with my chicken it was warm especially compared to the chicken, but the rice was tasteless and simply boiled rice with no flavour. And it was hard and stuck together all clumpy. After what we thought was our last round of drinks. They later turned up asking what we wanted for another round, we said that we had booked the 1.5 hr slot and assumed we’d had our last already. The waitress left to check, and then another came back stating due to the meals we had chosen it would have to be the 2 hr option as there had been a change in prices and menus. But we had had the Menus off their website, and these same menus were given to us by our waitresses when we arrived so we could see a list of the drinks, and the price and times we’d seen online were clearly shown on these menus. They honoured the prices they were advertising online. We went up together to each pay the reminder of our bill, we had already paid £10pp deposit. And there’s was, I believe, £18.95 left outstanding. When it was my turn to pay on my card, I said to the waitress I was looking to pay the remaining £18.95 for her to tell me everyone else had paid £20. I’m aware some of the party had, but not all. I didn’t think there was a valid reason for a £10+ tip with us all combined and wasn’t intending on participating to wards the tip. But being put on the spot with the rest of my party waiting and other customers. I paid the £20 anyway. I would not recommend this place and would not return.
The bottomless brunch at this restaurant was fantastic, and the staff were very attentive, ensuring that we were able to enjoy it to the fullest. Special thanks to Carys, a fantastic and helpful member of the staff.
Noticed Verve had collaborated with Kokodoo so a friend and I popped in to try it out,wasn 't overly busy and managed to get a table at half 8,lovely bar man advised us that it would be 40 minutes wait we said that 's fine and ordered 5 tapas and a bottle of wine for £40,anyway headed up to the ladies as you do and it 's utter chaos on the stairs by the kitchen with several deliveroo/ubereats/justeat drivers waiting for orders and I 'm like this does not bode well,also noticed how tired certain areas are looking (toilets quite dirty etc vip room was full of stuff and pretty sure there was a random child on a computer in there lol,did clock everyone in the restaurant not looking best pleased either,got to about half 9 still no food,told to wait another five mins still no food,I negotiated two free cocktails (violet haze was fab tbf and enquired as to a managers whereabouts,shock they were not on the premises lol anyhow tapas eventually arrived,Korean chicken and lamb chops were lovely,everything else was a bit basic tbh and we actually had to come home early as neither of us felt well after food,both still feeling very dodgy in the stomach dept (prawns? !! Biggest point is if you 're going to branch out and be in such demand with deliveries then you need more staff to keep a balance with your in house customers.
Lovely greetings from the bar staff as we walked in. Great food choice on the menu, I see there are new dishes from my previous visit around 3 months ago. Right... One reason only on why I have not given it 5 stars. Holloumi mos if it was as thin as crisps ive taken pic) only approx 3 pieces which was thick ish). And no chilli sauce or the jam that comes with it. Other than that all dishes were beautiful. I would highly recommend this place, and I will be ba,ck just unsure if I wouldn't order halloumi again, which is a shame.
Customer service is shocking when we ordered food we wasn’t told a wait we then waited 40 mins for tapas and our food hadn’t arrived we asked where it was and they said there was a big preorder and that takes priority so why wasn’t we told??? We then waited another 20 mins and still no sign so asked again and the waitress ignored us so I asked if she would check and she rolled her eye. I completely understand your busy but it’s unfair that we wasn’t told and then got rude service
