We recently had the best Sunday lunch in a long time at this restaurant. The mashed swede and roast potatoes were fantastic. We ordered the lamb dish, which was incredibly flavorful and generous in portion size. The pub had a cozy and friendly atmosphere, with clean surroundings and plenty of space at the tables.
The Sunday lunch was excellent, with a great atmosphere in the cozy bar. The extra gravy was a nice touch, and the stuffing ball and Yorkshire pudding were a real treat. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Called on a Sunday night from recommendation of son partner. No Bass on tap. Starters were ok then it went downhill. cod and potato dauphinoise were tasteless, a medium to rare steak was well done. They delivered our food to another table, it was not busy but the usual chef was not working-you couldnt get the salt out of the shakers. previous meals have been good but not this time. They could nt supply a proper glass for my wife s gin lemonade. serving staff did not even ask how our food was nor ask if we wanted a sweet . Table next to us left a lot of uneaten food
Found this nice little pub whilst on a day out, friendly staff great beer garden, good choice of ales, loved it there
