Kabos Pub And Grill - Swift Current

They were open and had fast service while we were charging our car nearby. We didn’t enjoy the food much though. Our server was prompt and kind.

Kabos is one of those places where the food is great and the service rocks.

Food was average nothing special. Had a steak with frozen vegetables and a stuffed potatoe.

My family and I just went to Kabos for supper. I have always loved it and my girlfriend has never had it before. I wanted to go there for a nice supper. We got there and everything was fine our server was very nice and accommodating with our needs. We ordered an appy and a kids meal. Just over 20 minutes later we ordered our food. There was one other table who had their food shortly after we ordered and then 2 others table came in while we were there. After just over an hour we finally got something. It was the appy we had ordered and still no kids meal. By this time our kid is starving and upset because she’s hungry. We mention this to our server and she said they are backed up in the kitchen.. HOW?! There was no calls while we were there one table who had just ordered and the other hadn’t come in yet. But whatever. We let it go. Then her meal comes. Absolutely cold. And her grilled cheese was toasted bread and cheese that wasn’t even melted it was still fridge cold. No butter no mayo nothing. Dry bread and cold cheese. Less than 5 minutes later our food came out. Also cold. All of it. Both our sandwiches were dry and gross. Fries same thing. Freezing. Everything but our appy was absolutely untouchable and disgusting. We tried to get the attention of the server as well as her mother the “manager” but no one would come. We started to eat some since we were all so hungry and my girlfriend has just gotten off work. I ate my fries and half my sandwich. Our daughter ate but was making faces and saying gross. And my girlfriend ate her cold unmelted poutine until the momager finally came over my girlfriend tried to explain everything that was wrong with our meal and she immediately had this lady jumping down her throat saying it was because we had had it sitting there for a while which we did but couldn’t have had it get any colder than it came out. She was very rude and started telling us it was our fault. My girlfriend tried to stay calm and nice but then this lady kept being rude even her daughter was trying to calm her down and then when my girlfriend said we would not be paying for the food we couldn’t even eat, we intended to pay for the appy and the kids meal, she started to threaten to call the cops. Eventually she calmed down enough to see reason and take off the food we never ate but not after publicly yelling at us and scaring my daughter when all we tried to do was explain what was wrong. I am absolutely appalled and I will not be returning this was absolutely the worst service I’ve have ever had and to have to pay $45 for food we could barely even stomach is absolutely absurd. I do no recommend going here unless you want **** food, **** service and then to be yelled at for it.
