Swindon Messenger

Today I went to Messenger Pub at 1pm. I ordered a Malibu and lemonade, but when I asked for more lemonade, I was told I had to pay extra. So, we ended up getting our lemonade from the shop instead.

Great lunch , we had the steak meal and a few drinks. Good service and value for money in a nice environment , definitely worth going there.

I had a wonderful lunch with former coworkers from Reading. The food, service, and atmosphere were all great. I will definitely be returning.

Had a meeting, then went for lunch at the Messenger, which had been recommended to me. I had a great meal of burger and fries. Whilst eating my lunch, I overheard the banter between the landlord and some of his customers. It sounded great and would be enjoyable as a local. I would recommend it as it had a great atmosphere. Well done to the landlord and his team.

Went for lunch today and decided to try something different! I ordered chick and mix, my husband ordered a burger. It was delicious! We ordered drinks, had a chat and a lot of banter with Nigel and his team as always, before our meals arrived. The meals were presented nicely on hot plates, a must for us! They were well cooked and very tasty. My chick and mix was amazing, I hadn’t ordered it for a long time but I shall certainly order it again soon. My husband said that he thoroughly enjoyed his burger too. The atmosphere is pleasant and for a sports bar, it’s not too noisy for us! We enjoyed it and will going in again on Friday for fish and chips Well done Nigel and your team
