Sanuk - Swords

Not for the first time Sanuk Swords have left us waiting and waiting for our food. Last night's order was already an hour late when we had to cancel. Card transaction was not refunded. It's a pity, they used to be quite good. Avoid.

I ordered online, which seems to be the only option now as they never answer the phone. The order confirmation email gave an estimated time but stated it would send texts as updates on the order and delivery. I didn’t receive 1 text from them. For the hour and a half I was waiting for the food, I tried to ring them numerous times to see if there was any update. Not one call went through to them, it was as if it was always engaged. On the order I also requested that they add more sauce to the pad thai as the last few times I got it, it was very dry and tasteless. When the food arrived, there was definitely no extra sauce, it was even more dry than before. I had ordered a hoisin dip which helped, but €2.50 for a tiny dip!! There was only 1 prawn in it too. You wouldn’t mind paying for good food and customer service, but Sanuk has gone down hill big time! Another customer lost!!

Was recommended to try this place. Placed an order at 6:15pm to be delivered at 7:30pm. It arrived at 5 past 8. Tried contacting the restaurant but number for Swords wasn't working and could only get through to Ballsbridge who couldn't find my order. If it gives you an option to order for a specific time I would imagine the food would be on time since ordering 1+ hour ahead. When food arrived it was very disappointing. Greasy and poor quality. Would recommend Camile Thai or Siam Thai which offer same dishes but tastier at around the same price and deliver on time.

We have been good customers since they opened. Have recommended their food. Always tip the driver. Tonight when we rang to order food. We were told they no longer deliver to Portrane. I got no satisfaction when i rang to speak to a manager. He was very rude and refused to give his name. I will not be giving them my custom in future. What has happened? New owner? New manager? So sad.

Having received many a good takeaway before we were shocked by the standards of tonight's, it's been a month or more since the last 1, has the staff changed ? Thai green curry sauce was pure water, slight green tint, other beef dish was WAYYY to spicy, we like very spicy food and this wasnt even supposed to be a spicy dish ?!?!?
