Thursday night, almost fully booked outWe made our reservation just on timeThe smell here is amazing, the atmosphere just right.
Great new place in Sydney CBD Stunning interior and good serviceDon't trust them regarding size of the dish ;-) it's bigger than you would expect.
My friend and I had a wonderful dinner here tonight. The staff were lovely and the restaurant got really busy and I can understand why as he food we ordered were delicious. We shared the greekslaw, herring croquettes, pork belly baklava and saganaki. I wanted to try more but as it was only the two of us, we had to choose carefully. I tried their French rose while friend had their Shiraz by the glass. We ended the night with the baklava ice cream which we both loved. I have been to David T's previous Greek restaurant which I loved and I'm glad he opened up again in the city with a beautiful fit out. Ill definitely bring my family here for dinner to try other dishes on the menu.
Quite a pleasant night at 1821, loved the interior and the atmosphere when I first walked in. Plates were designed to share, two of us ordered 1 small, 2 medium and 1 signature plate n that was really full. Had the roast vegetables, which then became roast potatoes coz no other vegetables on that night. Had the cured salmon and pork belly for medium plate. Well the salmon wasnt really fresh and definitely it was a very average dish with no sauce on it. However I liked the pork belly, really tender, sweet and savory. The pastry was really good as well. Then the moussaka, a very enjoyable dish as well. The dessert is very sweet but the ice cream was very smooth and so does the caramel sauce, with nuts in between, yum!!! May go back n try a few more dishes.
