Been here several times, most of the times was a good experience. It is a quite expensive but thats what you expect from the quality food! Options like bookings are a life saver would recommend a booking on days like new years, as it was fairly full last time i dined!
I can’t fault anything with the freshness of the seafood at Blue Fish. A friend and I ordered the Sashimi and Tiger Prawns for Entree, and Calamari for Main. <br/ <br/ The Sashimi was the best I’ve had for a while, melt in your mouth freshness and sliced perfectly. The Prawns were so flavourful and tender, served with their awesome Seafood Sauce (unsure if house made if commercial I want to know what brand it is). <br/ <br/ Our Calamari was good, 5 pieces served with chips and tartare. They weren’t overcooked or rubbery which was a welcome change. <br/ <br/ We opted for dessert as well, being an Affogato and Berry Eton Mess. No complaints here either. <br/ <br/ Points lost for price vs. portion size. I can hear you all mumbling ‘but what did you expect on the harbour?’ I’m well aware this is a contributing factor but a slightly larger portion for each dish (except the desserts) would have given them a higher rating from me.
Nice lunch, staff were accommodating and happy for us to sit there for a few hours ordering different things. Bit of a miscommunication on one of the meals, but not a big problem.
Giant Seafood Platter<br/ <br/ All fried food taste good here as the skin is thin and much crispy than that in other restaurants. Prawns are the best in this platter, no matter it is fresh or fried. I am a bit disappointed with their fresh oysters and mussels. Too much small shells on the oysters' surface and the mussels are too small to eat.<br/ However, overall is fine and everyone can have a try if you guys have special occasion with your friends or families:
