The ambience was nothing special to expect for a pub, but the service was good and valuable...for money was excellent, especially in such a tourist area.
Pretty straight eating along the series of similar establishments. Enjoy a light lunch with the woman and taste a nice palate.
Beers were very nice but $14 for a serve of sweet potato fries is beyond ridiculous... disappointing
This is a pub, though one with a circular view and a fabulous view of it! Actually it was the view that was the best at the pub for us. on the terrace at the late afternoon sun with a cold beer,...Friedly observe the passing promenade on xxxx the ferry coming and going on the water, and the harbour bridge over the harbour, is about as good as it gets. we had dinner here. I am quite sure that the pub is heavily based on the touristic footfall, which is about to this area people like us looking for a relaxed occasional meal with sight; diners who probably visit a "on off". so there is not much of a trust in the presentation fabulous foods to attract a regular clientele. it is not five stars eating on some wise. the bill was quite standard pub food, appropriate in presentation and worth. there were salads, burgers, pizzas and a selection of traditional main courses: chicken carving, fish and chips, rump and rock steaks and salmon. there are a few vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and milk-free options on the menu. the pub has seats inside and outside on the terrace. the terrace is understandably the popular place, and we had the pleasure to secure a table. Eat and drinks are ordered at the bar, with food delivered to their table. we ordered the supersalat with huh and the chicken carving. the salat had a good selection of ingredients: pumpkin, root, a small piece avocado, on a bed of brown rice; the chicken we had added to the order was considerable. the panko crumb of chicken carving was dry, blunt and blande; it needed a little more seasoning and a bit more zing. it was served with a small salad and a small portion fryed. we had a garlic bread to accompany these main courses; That was good. the food came to $64.00 that we thought was quite reasonable as it would have been a bit a sign for the view. service was efficient. what we liked was the unmarried nature of our meal. the pub was very busy, but we remained to enjoy our meal and fabulous intentions, with which we felt that we had to release for another group of customers. from this reason and of course we would probably return. the caffe is on the floor. the exterior seats can be a bit dense for people with mobility aid, but the interior would be suitable.
Brilliant location...horrendous food. Nachos were salted crisps/chips not tortilla chips. Ordered thai green curry "chefs special ' instead, the chicken was as in the picture, not edible.
