Cicchetti Bar Restaurant - Sydney

The manager of this place is extremely rude, she called security to people that were standing around and told them they were scaring customers away. She then started taking photos of them. When we ordered a coffee she told us don't bother paying and don't come back a shocking thing to say to a pregnant woman that needed to sit down. Coffee was average at best

Everything was nice except for the boss-owner-lady!!  Had a groupon reservation for high tea and it was very much worth it – the sandwiches were tasty and ample variety was on offer – from pastrami to salmon & cream cheese to roast beef. Desserts were equally enticing – the opera cake was a true standout with flavours and layers executed to perfection. The high tea came with a decent champagne and a selection of teas which were great. Location-wise, it doesn’t get any better at the top of QVB! The young waitresses, too, were fantastic - super friendly, attentive and welcoming. Probably to compensate for the owner who was shockingly rude, I dislike making judgments on people for having the problems they may face in their lives but this lady rather takes it out on the customers in a very inhospitable, rude and cold fashion. She would not even say hi. Other than that it was a great high tea!

We arrived here with a reservation at 3:30 pm for high tea . On arrival , the first thing a lady (probably the owner) told my partner very coldly was , "Oh! We will be closing soon." We found that really rude! There were people being seated even after us and continued to enjoy their meals far after we left! We should've been informed about that while making the reservation ! We had a groupon voucher for high tea . The location is great , High tea at the QVB sounds good right ! The presentation of the food is beautiful ! The tray of canapés were just set down on our table with glasses of wine . We weren't offered/served the scones , jam and cream which were supposed to be a part of high tea . The desserts we had , were too sweet . We weren't served tea/ coffee ☕️ either until the very end just before we left ! The waitress we had was pleasant. But I found the owner lady to be rude and of a cold nature . I felt like I had to hurry through tea ! Such a pity ! The bonus of being here honestly is the location , QVB is so beautiful , and the view from level 2 is wonderful especially with all the Xmas decorations . Apart from that , nothing much ! Save your money and avoid this place !

How can anyone enter this grand old building (QVB) without calling into Cicchetti's ? The high tea is well worth the money as it is served with great flair & attention to detail. Sitting there sipping on a sparkling or two with all those beautiful sweet delights, gazing at those amazing windows & elegant surrounds. What better way to experience all the delights of Sydney & drink in that atmosphere, just a great experince & thanks to the beautiful staff.
