Egg Waffles are tradition Hong Kong snacks. The Egg Waffles at Come Buy are good but could be better. It was quite soggy and it's definitely tastier when it's crispy.

This is a small shop selling bubble teas, iced teas and waffle "eggettes". This is another place for the instagrammers. I got an eggette which is basically a huge waffle in a paper cone with ice cream. I chose mint ice cream. Then you choose toppings. I got Oreos, a pokestick, m and ms and caramel sauce. Came here to try out the egglette with ice cream especially because it had been a trending food and we realised u could have it here at a pretty good price. For those who's tried the standard Hong Kong egglette before, mind u this is possibly made out from a different batter. It's more a sweet waffle kind of batter instead of the normal one with more emphasis on the egg taste. I didn't mind the extra sweetness but was kind of expecting the original. It was quite nice overall but the tables were not cleaned up yet and a bit sticky.

I work nearby and have gotten the original eggettes at least twice a week as I love them so much. They are good, really good, and even better than some places I've had in HK. They make them per order so it is always fresh. The only downside is that some times on a slow day the griddle isn't on so you have to wait about 8-10 minutes for your eggette. I also tried the hot chocolate with purple rice, never had that combo before and it was great! I think I will only order it when I'm on the hungry side though, it is a meal in itself!

Glad I stumbled upon another review of this place or else I wouldn't have found it. Always been a favourite of mine every time I visited Hong Kong, it reminded me of my childhood as every trip I would know a bag of these were just around the corner. I decided on having the Original Eggette (Hong Kong Egg Waffles as it is known sometimes) as well as a Purple Rice Milk Tea. The eggettes were piping hot and fresh off the griddle and tasted really nice. Crispy on the outside and slightly fluffy on the inside, it was perfect for a winter snack. At first I thought the tea was a bit of a gimmick for winter as essentially was hot milk tea with sugar and purple rice added to it. Boy was I wrong when I tried it. At first I was only getting milk tea and thought the rice was mixed in however once I got closer towards the end of the drink I could taste the purple rice. Nice combo and definitely warming and filling at the same time.
