Gogyo Surry Hills - Sydney

Nothing compares to high-quality ramen, especially on a chilly day. Gogyo has a limited ramen menu, but each dish is meticulously crafted. It tends to get quite busy on weekends, so I recommend making a reservation in advance. The staff is attentive and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place!

We ordered several dishes, including their signature ramen, tonkotsu, sukiyaki spring rolls, and karaage chicken. After comparing the two ramens, I found that I actually preferred the tonkotsu broth. The signature ramen had a slightly bitter taste, while the tonkotsu had a richer, porkier flavor with more depth. The spring rolls were fantastic, and I also thoroughly enjoyed the karaage chicken. The food was served promptly, and the staff were extremely friendly. Overall, we had a great experience at the restaurant. The only downside for me was that I liked the tonkotsu more than the signature ramen. I would definitely return to try their dinner menu!

We ordered the burnt miso ramen and the tonkotsu ramen. I personally preferred the tonkotsu ramen, as its broth was incredibly flavorful. When food is prepared skillfully, it can truly be an art form. I would describe the burnt miso ramen as an acquired taste; while I understand why some people might enjoy it, it's certainly not for everyone.

Ramen is flavourful, not too salty like a lot of othe ramen joints. Staff are very friendly. Ambience is very sleek. They have other finger foods worth trying as well.

Really enjoyed the signature burnt ramen although maybe a bit on the salty side. The king prawn guacamole was surprisingly the highlight as it tasted so much better than I expected.
