Masuya Japanese Seafood Restaurant

Great Japanese restaurant in town. The place was big, beautiful and somehow cozy. The sushi was fresh and had a lot of variety. The grilled salmon and the rolls were delicious! Extensive beverage list. Service was wonderful, cheerful and attentive. We had some members of our party with allergies and they showed concern and care to make sure they are okay with everything after our meal. The only problem I had was the unnecessary plastic straws made available in our water glasses and some drinks.

Amazing dinner. Fish was so fresh and tasty. We loved our sushi and sashimi platters. Service was good. I am not giving 5 star only because of the tempura that was average and the temperature in the restaurant. It was really cold, the air conditioner was too high.

Great experience! The otoro and uni were incredibly nice: staff was nice and friendly. Thought the staff cleared our plates way too fast as we were eating so felt slightly rushed. Will still definitely go back for some otoro! :DD

The best value and most delicious items were the sushi platters. We have the aburi sushi platter. This was a big portion and was enough to share between two people with a couple of extra dishes. It was very fresh too. The salmon was almost buttery. It was so soft. The teriyaki salmon dish wasn't large though. I expected more. The vegetables were also very small and barely cooked. Some weren't even warm. The two side dishes definitely weren't worth the price, but the platter was. Service was quick too, which was good because we were off to the theatre.

The staff were very friendly and great. The whole food was really fresh and delicious. Especially the sashimi platter was best in Sydney. Would recommend this place! Thank you. Chef!
