However, as soon as we walked in, the atmosphere was unwelcoming and the service was terrible. We wouldn't have given it that much mind if our food was at least good. As dumplings are a favourite of ours, we were looking forward to the pork buns and xiao long bao which we ordered. One of the best parts about xiao long bao is the soup which accompanies it, however upon receiving our dish, it was evident that absolutely zero of the six dumplings had any soup in them. All of them had holes so that the soup would have run out. This was extremely disappointing on top of the terribly unwelcoming service. I guess we were super disappointed because neither the service nor the food was satisfactory. Would not recommend and would not go back there again.
Not really authentic Hong Kong food. Price is expensive for what you're getting... not worth it. Plus the food is below average, and poor customer service as well. I'd rather pay cheap and go to Eating world food court next door
One of the kids' favourite take away shops! The fried rice is great and the service generally pretty reasonable. This restaurant is open late so it's an option even when most other places have closed. Worth a try if you're in Chinatown.
A chinese casual restaurant near Chinatown. The restaurant serves mainly Hong Kong food. Two-floor restaurant sometimes is crowded. It’s suitable for family dinners because there’re a few large tables. I went there alone and was surprised to find that they also have table for one, which is next to the kitchen. Through window you can have a good view of the kitchen. #BBQ 2 Choice Combo with rice# $14.8, is served very fast, almost 2 mins after I placed my order. Because they have already cooked the chicken and BBQ port, so the only thing they need to do is to cut up and put them on the top of the rice. It tastes ordinary。 #Sweet Tofu Pudding# $6.5, is another signature Chinese dessert. It’s served in a large wooden bowl however indeed the tofu only occupied half of it’s capacity. Although they have something like ginger sweet sauce on the top, the tofu is tasteless.
We went there on a late Friday night for dinner. The staff was extremely rude and disinterested. On the way up to our table on the second floor, we noticed a huge pot of tofu that has been cooked but left uncovered right next to the stairs which is quite disgusting as it's left there to gather dust. The waiter got our order wrong the first time - no apology and they acted annoyed at us. The noodles were very bland and cold - looked like it's been sitting there for a while. Another waiter came to tell us the radish cake was sold out and walked off without offering to take our order for another dish. The deep fried fritters we ordered for congee - I have never had deep fried fritters that failed so hard. It tasted very dense and old - as if they have kept it for a few days and it was not crispy at all. Even store bought ones are much better. Everything was very bland. I also unearthed a hair in my congee. We had to asked for cups to drink water twice. The cashier gave us the wrong bill and didn't apologise. Just printed out a new one and shoved it in our faces. Told us to pay downstairs. The cashier downstairs was not much better. Just processed the bill to epftos without saying a word and looked at my husbands expectantly. No mutter of thank you. Tables and bowls are filthy. Ruined our Friday date night. I left still hungry. Will never come back here again or recommend to anyone.
