For a Qucik lunch, the food was as usual nice. Service was fast and pleasant. Price is quite reasonable.
The restaurant was empty with no one waiting in line. I asked the waitress for a table and was told I could only have it for 45 minutes. If I sat down now, the countdown would start, so my friends would have to leave after 45 minutes. This left a negative first impression on me. I mentioned that I was dining alone and was shown to a small table. I ordered the seafood char koay teow from the lunch set menu, which cost 118.8 with a 10% service charge. However, it was nothing like the Penang char koay teow I was expecting. The noodles came with shells and only two small shrimp, lacking the traditional flavors of clams or prawns. There was also no Chinese sausage. Essentially, it was a bland and dry noodle dish with seafood on top. By the time I finished my meal, the restaurant was only 10% full due to the strict 45-minute rule that had been enforced on other customers. Even fast food cafes don't rush their patrons after such a short time. Customers are given only 20 minutes to order, eat, and leave, making for a stressful dining experience. For the price of 120 bucks, I would recommend dining elsewhere.
I had a quick lunch craving some roasted rice, and this restaurant did not disappoint. The coffee was also good and I felt at home. The location was perfect and easy to find.
The service was excellent. We placed our order in advance and the food was ready and still hot when we arrived. The food was delicious and there was ample seating for everyone to sit comfortably.
