The trick is to let the coffee soften down the cookie a little, before drinking the coffee and eating the cup. It is sort of like reverse dunking a biscuit. Their hot chocolate was adorable with the chocolate block which had to be melted in the hot milk - it was the antics like this that made my experience rather fun. I liked the sandwich we ordered too. The only downside was realising after reaching the cafe that not every store sells each item... i suppose that is our bad for not checking :( Service is friendly, no complaints there at all. The cafe is fairly classic in terms of its decor and furniture, which is nice. The coffee is also just fabulous here.
My personal thank you to the staff at piccolo me on king st , especially head Barista Yanos . He remembers everyone's names ,I find that very special & makes me feel so welcome . I love the friendliness & fun atmosphere. The best piccolo in town ! There's so many cafes in town but what makes me go back is about the people .Yanos sets the tone that is professional &engaging with patrons , & there's sense of team work & chemistry amongst each other . Great vibe & cool place to keep going back for more .
I used to frequent the Castlereagh and Hunter street stores where I found there to be great service, good food, EXCELLENT coffee and a lovely atmosphere in store. Recently due to a move in work, I have had to change to the King Street store which has completely changed my entire perspective on Piccolo Me and made me take my business elsewhere. I have been to King Street on 4 separate occasions between December 2016 and March 2017, each time hoping the next time I go back things will improve. Sadly this doesn't seem to be the case. The european man on the coffee machine is literally one of the most terrible humans I have ever come across in my entire life. He is nasty, bossy and extremely rude and abrasive. Each time I have been in store I have witnessed him speak to his staff members like they are dirt on his shoe. Once I heard him call a young lady an 'idiot with no brains'. Another time, the young girl on the till was almost reduced to tears after he called her stupid in full view of customers and laughed in her face when she got upset. There is absolutely NO excuse for this and to top it off, the coffee I have been served by him has always been unbelievably bad! I used to bring a lot of business to the other stores through business meetings, and word of mouth but I would NEVER recommend this store to anyone. In fact, I have gone as far to advise my colleagues to stay away from this place and take their business elsewhere. If this is the type of person you think is acceptable to employ Piccolo Me, you are headed for trouble!!!
We were there for the fireworks and this was one of the few places open on the walk from the cbd to the harbour. Service both in the cafe booth & wait staff was very professional & curteous. We order 2 different snacks turkey n cranberry & spicy chicken both were delicious & very well cooked I would recommend piccolo me to anyone looking for a nice spot & good food & service.
Walked in to have a take away just because it was within Telstra building as another Telstra building has a nice café with a tasty coffee in addition to exceptional service.Ordered long black and a muffin. Asked to put ice blocks in a cup as it is impossible to drink it hot. Received extremely hot coffee in a single cup which i couldn't hold in my hand. Wrapped up in a tissue and took to an office. Tasted horrible after it cooled down and went to a bin followed by a muffin which didn't meet any expectations."Highly recommended" ....not
