It is recommended to call ahead and make a reservation on busy days, as it can get crowded. The venue is spacious with various seating areas. Customers order at the counter, collect their drinks, and are served their food at their tables. I have tried a variety of dishes at this establishment over the years, from bangers and mash to burgers to pies. The standout dish for me is the Sunday roast, with a variety of meat options to choose from. The food at this pub never disappoints - it is always delicious with generous portions (often too big to finish). The pub is large and inviting, with a separate area for gaming machines. Overall, it is definitely worth a visit.
Great local, love this place for a family dinner! we love to go to this place at the weekend. service always great and eat.
Love the vibe, food delicious. Quality place and nice surprise! Visited on an Origin night and really enjoyed being here!!
Come here if you want overcooked schnitzels, dry pre-cooked and cold yorkshire pudding! Ordered a Sunday roast and chicken schnitzel. The roast came out and the yorkshire pudding was dark brown, dry and cold. Schnitzel came out overcooked and dark brown, I pulled it apart...and could see stringy dry chicken inside. Waitress took it back and came back with the dish saying the chef thinks it 's fine. I took it back to the kitchen and was told by the chef that if I wanted it less cooked it would be raw. He disputed the chicken was dry and it wasn 't until I insisted on a new schnitzel that he finally put another into the fryer. Apparently 3-4 minutes in a fryer and then into an oven to finish it off is the way you cook a schnitzel. I wasn 't aware a schnitzel needs to be baked before serving, I 've never cooked one myself this way. In the meantime the waitress was standing there and the duty manager came up and said if I had a problem to go through her. By this stage Jamie pulled the chicken out of the fryer to put into the oven and I asked him to put it back into the oil for another minute with no oven and he begrudgingly did so. Yes I was probably hangry and my dining partners were already eating without me but I wasn 't happy with the fact that the cook wasn 't going to do anything in the first instance and I couldn 't eat a dry stringy chicken just to keep the peace. In general, the staff were terrible, arrogant and condescending and made me feel like a difficult customer. I won 't be back for food, shame really because I 've heard such good things previously. Really disappointing experience
My partner and I stopped by this restaurant for a meal before going back to the airport. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace, and both ordered the chicken schnitzel, which was just as tasty as we had hoped for a pub meal. The cheesy garlic bread was also delicious! The service was excellent.
