Wynstop Cafe - Sydney

I was running early and dived into the nearest cafe ... for the first ... and now the last coffee. My flat white was served in a small cup, which was good because it was weak and lacking in taste. And the iced tap water was better!

This is a no nonsense, good down-to-earth food cafe within Wynyard station and the Met Centre on George Street. You could walk past and not look twice at it, as it's tucked away at the bottom of the pedestrian ramp from George Street. Because of this, it's quiet - which is great. The server made me a very nice, fresh turkey salad sandwich on rye, with an added side salad. It was good and very nicely presented. The cafe offers meals and snacks with chips, hot lunch dishes and breakfast fare too. Service is quick and friendly. Overall it's fine, I'd happily come to get my sandwich here again.

Not five star, but for a simple fuel stop this convenient café is good. Not a hang out for the trendy set, but if you only need a feed and drink give this a try.

While browsing around the shops within the Wynyard Station area we noticed the WYNSTOP CAFE on Wednesday 19/08/15, looking through the window it appeared quite busy & briefly looking at the menu on the window we were approached by one of the female staff to call in. Seated at a fast pace and given the menu folder, while reading through the menu we both felt we were being rushed to place an order, i politely reminded the waitress it's rude to rush customers especially when we have only just sat down. After 5 minutes we placed our order and asked for my cappuccino to be served after my meal, within 5 minutes cappuccino served before we even got the meals.Meals served and at first appeared to be very large in portion, however the taste and texture with presentation reminded us of nursing home food, over cooked or boiled. Ate most of the food due to empty stomach. Waitresses attempting to remove our plates from the table before we had finished feeling like everything is one big rush !!!! Glad to get out and paid AUD $62.80 using my credit card. Overall the service was so fast and rushed throughout the entire visit we had forgotten what we actually ordered !!!!

This cafe serves really great coffee. Service is also excellent - fast and friendly. It is my favourite place to have breakfast when I have to spend the day in Sydney CBD. They do a really good raisin toast as well. The place is not particularly stylish or trendy, just excellent coffee, food and service.
