The wait time is not long, but the ingredients are fresh and the food is delicious. Good portion sizes as well. We even got to try prunes from the own garden! An enjoyable and hospitable experience. Definitely recommend.
The owner is very nice and the raspberry panna cotta was delicious! We enjoyed our desert and coffee on the patio. Highly recommend this cute little stop.
We came to this place aftet visiting Trollstigen on our way to Geirangerfjord. For two sleep-deprived, jet-lagged, hungry people, the food at this place was great. The salmon is delicious. It was a bit expensive at around $25 but still filling. Cheapest thing are the chicken nuggets which were about $12. Chocolate cake is good. There are also games to play (English/Norwegian/both). Floor shakes when people walk up on it since the building is raised. Made me queasy after a long car ride. There is also a nice patio outside for dining. There was only one woman working so it took a while to take our orders and serve the food as there were quite a few other guests, but she was nice and we didn't mind waiting 20 or so minutes.
This was the only place open on Sunday when we arrived in town, and we were thankful to find it. We very much enjoyed the pork plate and pizza. Friendly service and great food!
Fjellro Hotel houses Fjellro Kafé (and restaurant Fjellrosa which specializes in fish, not tested. The food in the café isn't exactly cheap, but they know the difference between medium and medium rare, and serve sirloin that tastes really well when done both grades.
