Yims Wok - Syosset

I have been frequently in this restaurant for years. Jimmy, the owner is a nice man. When his wife takes an order, she always makes mistakes. She made a mistake and she complained that I don't know what I'm ordering. It's my fault. I ordered House special wonton soup. She made House special soup. I traveled 20 minutes until I found out there was an error. She is nasty as nasty can be. I've been going to this restaurant for over 30 years and I am no longer going to be a patron. I suggest you stay away because the wife has got an issue. She does not know how to treat a customer.

This is a very nice Chinese themed restaurant. The food seems fresher and lighter than other Chinese restaurants. I am sure the surrounding fitness gyms account for this. It is a nice place to sit and eat in a classy dining area.

My office orders from here quite often, and today we ordered a decent sized lunch for delivery. When it came we realized someone got the wrong order. Nicely called to ask if they can replace it and the woman who answer the phone proceed to argue with us telling us we ordered that and then hung up on us. I then called back to let them know how unprofessional and rude she was and that we order from them all the time and this is no way to treat a customer. She then agreed to replace the food (which at this point we no longer want) but threw in the fact that its not her problem . Like for real ? WELL, IT IS YOUR PROBLEM, YIM AND LEARN SOME CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS and RESPECT for your customers if you want to stay in business! Will not be ordering from Y 'all again....

Ayush is wrong about his/her dumb review. Yim 's is a staple to the syosset and Jericho areas. It has been a trusted Chinese food restaurant for decades and never disappoints. The food is reliable, fairly healthy and always makes you feel at home. This is a take out place, not a 5 star restaurant so don 't listen to any of the absurd reviews others give about bad service it is what it is so get over it. I 'll always be a big fan and look forward to my meals at Yim 's for years to come.
