Oompa Loompyas - Syracuse

My best friend of college is Filipino and always raves over the kitchen, so I was thrilled to try some Loompyas. Unfortunately, I took my order. I wish I had tried there to buy more food! The corner on which it is is near several places that I often, but, so I will be back. I have problems with spicy foods lately, so I was nervous the sauces would be too hot, but the sweet chili sauce had exactly the right amount of sweet with a nice kick to him, not overwhelming sweet or hot, and perfectly complimented the beef and seafood loompyas I tried. The employee I interacted with was very enthusiastic and friendly. I confess that I teased my poor friend (she is now in Ohio) with pictures of the menu and my record. What a great introduction to Filipino Essen! You'll see me soon.

The food here is flavorful and fresh! My favorite dish is the bistek served with garlic rice. The owner, Zell, is truly wonderful. Every time I order something new from the menu, it never disappoints—it's always delicious! I highly recommend dining here.

As New Yorkers, we never expected to find authentic Filipino cuisine in Syracuse. My fiancée, who is Filipina, and her family are visiting for our wedding, and we wanted to treat them to traditional Filipino dishes. Luckily, we discovered Oompa Loompyas! We had a tasting with Cell today and were thrilled with the food! The lumpia, pancit, barbeque, and garlic rice were all fantastic! Since we’re so accustomed to the abundance of Filipino restaurants in NYC, we’re grateful to have found such a wonderful option for our wedding. We can't wait to enjoy more dishes from Oompa Loompyas on our special day. Thank you, Cell!

This place is amazing! I had the beef and shrimp with spinach artichoke dip, and it was so delicious that I’m already thinking about when I can return! Thank you for a wonderful meal and fantastic service.
