What a cute place to have breakfast! With pink and white chairs and baby blue walls, this cafe has a comforting retro and very homey atmosphere. The staff is really nice and the food was delicious. We ordered the classic Eggs Benedict and a Belgian waffle with turkey sausage... all very delicious. Will definely be returning while here on vacation!
Service was slow but pleasant. Had to ask for more coffee.
Strange place. Came here for breakfast yesterday. Our server was nice, but the woman who brought some of our food was on her cell phone which should be unacceptable in a restaurant of any sort. Food was pretty good but very weird vibes all around. Probably wouldn't return.
Let me preface this by saying that we come here every year in the late summer. This year, we ordered our typical breakfast, the “A Shore Thing.” Unfortunately, our waters arrived in dirty cups, which we noticed at the end of the meal, after eating most of our food and drinking from the cups. One cup of water had purple residue on the inside of the cup, while the other had orange residue inside. We showed the staff, even wiped some residue from the inside (it easily came off just by touch, it wasn’t stuck on). The staff’s response was that they serve squeezed fruit drinks, and so that’s the reason. The tone suggested this was a perfectly reasonable explanation and a normal occurrence. I’m not even sure the word sorry was anywhere in the explanation. Frankly, I don’t even care what the reason is. It’s plain disgusting. I’m drinking out of somebody else’s dirty cup. It wasn’t even dried on there, it came off at a touch, which tells me the cups don’t even get cleaned at all, maybe just a quick rinse. Needless to say, the meal ended there for us, feeling nauseated rather than satisfied. I don’t think the staff understands finding out you’re eating out of a stranger’s dirty dishes is completely unacceptable. To add insult to injury, the prices on the bill were unexplainably higher than in the menu. The tea was $3.12 instead of $3. There was another $2 or so of random price increases. “Hey, here’s a little up-charge for the privilege of eating out of dirty dishes!”
