Service is great, and I never had a complaint about the food! And please stop at the bar for a grand crafted cocktail

My husband and I eat at Austin’s several times a year. We decided to have our quarterly family dinner here this month. Typically it is very fast paced, always a wait for a table, and service is great. We made reservations for 12 on Saturday and had a much different experience this time. The restaurant was very slow with empty tables for a Saturday night between 6-8:30pm. Servers were constantly around but we had to ask to order appetizers, drinks, entrees, and desserts. Servers were not asking if we were ready to order, If we needed anything, etc. we were constantly flagging someone down. Food was great as always, drinks were not being refilled, pitchers of sprites being mixed up with water pitchers. The experience was nothing like we are use to. Desserts forgotten about. We had to ask for the bill and waited long for pretty much everything. Dinner was long and tiring, everyone was ready to leave.

Food was a bit too over priced for them to not have a chef and team that doesn't know what a medium steak is. The steaks were well done with NO PINK. No one wanted to complain and cause a birthday celebration to be ruined. The sodas taste like sweet water, totally flat. The food is a tad bit overrated and was not as flavorful as I thought. The waiter was not as attentive nor welcoming. This was my first and last time visiting this establishment.

Pricey but a great experience for special occasions.

The steak was perfect the first time and was great. The service was top notch. I will return. Just wish the crab/crawfish cake was more of a crab cake. I would recommend this place for quality service and a great steak. Trust me I'm very hard to impress.
