Gateway To India - Tacoma

This place tries to accommodate vegan guests, especially during buffet hours. The food is reliably delicious. The free lens soup is vegan. The Zilantro Chutney is not. The vegetarian section of the menu indicates which dishes are vegan or can be made vegan.

Love this place! Menu options marked clearly. Many vegan options. The staff is very attentive and very accommodating. Just tell them you are vegan and they will have so many recommendations for you! Updated by previous review on 2021-06-22

The food was good. Significantly selected vegan items in the menu. The service was a woman who was rude. Man who worked could feel that and tried to be friendly. I ordered a star and the court was super sharp! Mouth was on fire!

Decided to try Indian food for the first time about a month ago. Gateway to India was completely AMAZING. Totally vegan friendly and the staff is always wonderful. So glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried this tasteful kitchen!

I LOVE this place! Definitely one of my top two favorites in Tacoma. They have many vegan options that are clearly marked (vegan or may be made vegan. I love the split pea soup they serve with all of their entrees, and the basmati rice!
