Mad Hat Tea Co - Tacoma

This spot is so great! First of all, the tea is otherworldly. So delicious. And the space is so funky and welcoming. It’s somewhere you can sit, hang out, and chat for hours. The owner and employees are so cool, kind, and knowledgeable! Plus they play awesome music. I HIGHLY recommend mad hat! Shout out to Dylan and Tobin!

This place is a perfect place to sit, relax, read, sip coffee/tea, chill, bring your kids, etc etc. Blake, the owner, is running a place that exudes what is basically an anti-big chain coffee shop. It’s a humble spot that deserves the support of the community. Go have a coffee and I’ll bet you’ll walk out feeling the same.

Mad Hat Tea is the BEST!!!! Tobin and everybody that works there and visits are some of the nicest people I've ever met. The tea is absolutely amazing of course and it's got a great cozy atmosphere.

Stopped by for the first time today, and i already know I will frequent this shop often. The owner/staff are super friendly and welcoming. The amount of tea available is overwhelming (in the best way), and any questions about the products can be easily answered by the staff. It’s refreshing to find high quality tea and products, and even better that’s it a local business. Left with tons of tea and a smile, thank you!

I should have read the reviews before stepping foot in this store. Makes sense now. I sadly have not even tried the tea as the moment I walked in I was rudely greeted and rightly so, how dare I interrupt their conversation! It seems to me, unless you frequent this place, you aren't really welcome. Such a bummer since I came to buy tea, being a tea noob I love to explore the local tea shops around here to find my favorites and ask questions, this is NOT the place for that. Go to Mimi's teas in Fircrest or even heck, Crecent Moon is friendlier than these guys! Yikes!
