The place is small, and after providing our phone number, we waited about 10 minutes in the car. Once we were seated, my son ordered the chicken-fried steak breakfast, while I chose the oyster lunch. His breakfast was massive, and I got eight fried oysters served with fries and a salad. Everything was delicious! I even took the leftover fries home and plan to reheat them in the air fryer.
They really need to modernize and start accepting card payments; it's ridiculous to always have to use cash. The food, however, is excellent and portion sizes are generous. The restaurant itself is quite small, and they definitely could benefit from a larger space and a card payment option.
Marcia’s is known for its exceptional food, and that reputation is well earned. One standout feature of Marcia’s is their accommodating approach to substitutions, which sets them apart from other restaurants. They offer a wider variety of food options than I’ve encountered elsewhere. The quality of the food is great, and the servers are knowledgeable and skilled at discovering what each diner desires for breakfast. Plus, there’s usually an ample selection for lunch as well!
Dying for a great breakfast? Marcia’s has it wrapped up right. Fluffy huge omelets- I had the chicken fried steak and hubby had the Marcias. Dang delicious! Loaded hash browns, a pancake and a slice of French toast. About half of our food went in to the to-go box, enough for 2 more meals. The pancakes were tough/ left on the grill too long as they were crispy and dark on the bottom but still tasty. The French toast was the best I’ve ever had. This tiny restaurant is set in the gritty Tacoma industrial area and though I’ve driven by it plenty of times I never noticed it until I looked it up on Trip Advisor. Friendly weight staff. Don’t let this dive fool you, it’s legit fantastic. The place was packed at 10 AM on a Monday! We will be back for sure!!!!
Recommended by a friend and she knew what she was talking about! Small cafe, hidden gem, but oh so good. Just a little cafe, nothing spectacular, it was warm in the day we went (but it was 90 degrees outside). The staff was friendly and welcoming. The price was reasonable, the portions huge, and so so tasty. None of us were disappointed!
