Sushi Express - Tacoma

A little more expensive than other sushi places, but it is worth it very well. The quality is really a step over other local places I have done. The selection is diverse and the portion sizes are excellent. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

We love the experience to go here. Getting our food from the conveyor belt is great because you hardly have to interact with the waiter unless you want to order a particular dish. The sushi is well made and they have unique roles. My daughter loves cream puppets The restaurant itself is somewhat incomplete, but we have nothing to do with it.

Delicious and exceptionally expensive. Bad evaluators must have gone at a bad time because I have been here at least a dozen times without incidents.

The prices are reasonable, but the restaurant feels unfinished. I observed that the staff rarely interacted with customers. We had to repeatedly call for someone just to make a request, and it felt like we were bothering them. My mother ordered the chicken teriyaki, but after a 20-minute wait, the server informed us that the cook had forgotten the order and hadn't prepared it at all. The staff seemed indifferent to serving their customers. I would recommend Sushi Revolution on Tacoma Mall Blvd. While it may not be the best, it is definitely an improvement over this place. Also, I forgot to mention that the sushi is just average. They really need to step up their game!

It's pretty obvious this place is under new management. Everything is made slightly off the cream puffs are too heavy, the sweet potato roll is raw, the dancing beach roll is overcooked, the fresh fruit isn't so fresh, the chopsticks are cheap, and the chef didn't even know what sweet chili sauce is. I appreciate that they're still making my favorites, but it might take a while before the quality is back to where it was. I'm not risking eating any raw sushi here for a while. It's a bad time for Sushi Express.
