We arrived and the place is far overpacked, absolutely no physical distancing, and you must wait in a crowded line inside, with people only cm apart It was as if you were bringing your Kovid here to party. It made me crazy that A) we drove out of town a total of 1.5 hours there and back B) They don't seem to care about the safety of their customers, and C) I couldn't try the seemingly amazing fried herring. Please clean your act Kvarkenfisk. Fortunately, or 2 years old is in helicopters and must see that this happens, so we have this for us!
Classy. . Somewhat off the beaten track, but well worth a visit for a tourist visiting/passing by the Umeå area.
Six main dishes start at 155 SEK. More outdoor tables than inside. A beautiful sea breeze and sunshine the day we visited. The IT expert orders and pays with the WEIQ app. If you do not fall into this category, try your luck at the bar. Water is free.
Beautiful location on the water (the part Östersjön called Kvarken), with the possibility to either sit outdoors and eat, or inside in bright rooms with large glass windows/doors. The main dishes were great and cost-effective – there were four different fish dishes to choose from – and the wild salmon, Tataki style, was particularly delicious! The Kalix caviar star I felt was somewhat overpriced; served with deep fried bread sticks instead of Swedish potato pancakes. The dessert elections were also somewhat disappointing. Finally, they could include a small children's menu for families with children.
About expensive and easy. The restaurant is furnished like a school restaurant. For the price I expect to sit from a waiter of a white table, not order at the bar. We asked for children's menu, they offered fish N chips... we paid an adult price, but part was very small. Salmon soup was announced as a fish soup as served... I couldn't find a salmon in it. Also ordered avocado and tomatoes salsa with garlic bread and tofu pesto ... It was a salsa with tomatoes, but mostly a kind of acidic spice on what I think should be garlic bread, very thin and crispy. With cut half avocado and a large piece of pesto, plus rocket salad. Would have been good as a supplement... in a very small part. had to ask to refill the bread basket and the butter among the staff and not very friendly. The location is beautiful, next to the sea can be great the view, but the surroundings are not very beautiful... The restaurant has been there for at least 5 years, but it never seems ready. No grass, trees or plants... Mostly gravel, dirt and construction site when you look around. If you go there, it's safer to order yarn sandwich or roasted herring... I think it might be worth what you pay. I'm sorry, but I'm not going back.
