PERSONA MESA Restaurant - Tagbilaran

I took my mother in law a Filipino national and her family for dinner. To start with we ordered wine which turned out to be completely off. We weren't even offered a taster. We served all family members the wine and I suggested I taste it first. It was absolutely disgusting as if it had perhaps been in the sun for weeks and then put in the fridge. It was on orange colour instead of the usual white wine colour...Then to the food, whilst most of it was fine the chicken wasn't cooked. We asked to speak to the manager who was not present, no supervisor to name of and nobody willing to take initiative to deal with the issue. I didn't want anyone to be sick. They made us guess what was going on and despite my best efforts to resolve the issue it took the whole dinner to be told we couldn't speak to the manager due to a family matter. I will never ever come back again and certainly do not recommend the restaurant to anyone. To all tourists and locals please avoid at all costs.I expect an apology from the restaurant as in the UK things would certainly be different. I will be emailing a official complaint and expect an appropriate response!!!

So youve been vacationing around the phillipines for a while enjoying local foods.all yum. But after a while it all gets a bit heavy and your looking to freshen up the tastebuds?Then Persona Mesa is the place.we found the tastes here simply delicious.Local ingredients refined into cullinary delights.vegetable dishes that left me wanting more vegetables any time any where when prepared this way. The spicier dishes were so wonderfully balanced .Where the "spicey" was a delight but didn't leave you grasping for the water and stole nothing from the full flavors of the dish.After our meal here we felt we had been treated to nutritian with style ,while experiencing None of the heavy bellied fare a lot of phillipino food gives.(dont get me wrong,i love the local food-but this place raised the standard on it a mile.)The staff were efficient , and seemed genuinly pleased at the sight of people enjoying the menu.To summerise my meal: lighter,full flavored delight. phillipino fare subjected to a classy Japanese twist.

The food is amazing, staff are helpful and a very warm owner. I love their beef with cheese, the fresh lumpia and rhe spicy chicken. An asian fusion dish and fine dining. The ambience is a rustic-asian zen and indeed good for photo op. This is one of the best resto I tried in Tagbilaran Bohol. Will definitely recommend to friends and family. You can also choose to dine alfresco.

Juste pour vous dire qu'il y a une nouvelle carte avec toujours les mêmes plats délicieux MAIS ils ont augmenté les prix de 40 à 50% !! Quel choc lorsque nous sommes retournés manger pour la xème fois ! Les Ribbs ont passé de 240 à 460 pesos !Cesar salades de 170 à plus de 350 pesos ! bref une augmentation aussi énorme n'estpas justifiée! Je suis certain que les salaires des employes n'ont pas augmenté eux!On n'y retournera plus ! Domage

We went there in the middle of the afternoon which was probably a mistake as the place looked closed and the waiter was in a t-shirt. I had their featured pork ribs which were delicious, and the portion large, but served lukewarm. The cook made our main dishes first, put them on the corner and then made the soup - backwards. My wife had some pork chunks ruined with fish sauce for my tastes anyway. The corn and crab soup was basically tasteless. Not very satisfying for the money spent.
