Spoon - Tahoe City

The food was absolutely outstanding, and enjoying a meal outdoors in the fresh air was a delightful change from your typical restaurant. The staff and chefs have done a fantastic job of creating an intimate dining experience. Spoon will definitely be our go-to local spot from now on!

A hidden gem in the woods! This quaint little restaurant is somewhat off the beaten path. The outdoor setting is fantastic, making it a lovely place to dine. With only a few tables both inside and outside, I recommend making a reservation, although we were able to walk in without one. The food was absolutely five-star quality. We initially planned to go to Hell's Kitchen, but since it was an hour away, we decided to try this place instead. We ended up saving hundreds, and the food was just as good, if not better! Plus, the ambiance here is a hundred times nicer than at Hell's Kitchen. Overall, a great spot!

This small, home-style American restaurant has a cozy vibe. Our waiter was friendly and took our takeout order with great politeness. However, we found the food to be quite salty. Both the mushroom soup and the tomato sauce on the linguini were overly seasoned, and we usually enjoy food with a heavier hand on the seasoning. On a positive note, the toasts were more balanced; the herb oil drizzled on the ciabatta was aromatic, although a bit sparsely applied. The cheesy toast was also savory and fragrant, but the cheese lacked browning and caramelization. Overall, it was a hearty meal, but I would suggest that diners request slightly less salt, assuming our takeout experience was typical of what they usually serve.

Spoon is my favorite restaurant in North Lake Tahoe. Have never been disappointed! They know what they do well and keep the menu streamlined! Both the presentation taste are always top notch. And their desserts made daily are a must-have! Plus you can bring your own drinks, no corkage fee!

This place is a little gem. Heads up it?s BYOB and there is a little market across the street. The food was tasty and fresh. It is run by a super sweet couple the husband cooks and the wife runs the front of house. She also makes all the desserts from scratch. (Pecan tart special was to die for). Service, food and vibes were all 5 star!
