I had a great experience at this restaurant with delicious sushi options. I was thrilled to find a place near Carnelian Bay that offers vegan choices as well. My partner and I enjoyed the futo maki, bahama mama, and burning man rolls (without cream cheese). My personal favorite was the burning man rolls, they had a nice spicy taste to them. The wait time was reasonable (around 30 minutes) considering we just walked in and ordered. Plus, you can take a walk by the lake while waiting.
Okay so it was wonderful to see a whole page dedicated to Vegetarian/Vegan which made choosing super easy. The rolls were fine (we had Vern Maki and I Dream of Jean) but nothing to rave about. Given the lack of vegan food in Tahoe it is great having this place as an option. We sat out the back on the balcony and had a view of Lake Tahoe which was nice. Parking was available around the book as well.
We wanted to try more dishes, but there was only one chef working when we arrived, so our meal took over 45 minutes to arrive. I recommend checking to see if there are two chefs working before dining here. The restaurant is small. We ordered an amazing roll (which took at least 30 minutes to come out), soup, and edamame.
Fresh made and with some interesting twists, a whole page of vegan / vegetarian options
