This garden alike restaurant in the mountain has its seafood meal pretty fresh, it really surprise me, because it locates in a remote mountain where is about 2 hour drive from Taichung city, but still offers a fresh seafood meal. In my past visits, I usually order the chicken dish which is the signature dish, although the seafood dish may not be the signature dish here, it no doubt taste good. It is around 1:00 pm the day I went, a bit past lunch time peak, the restaurant is almost full, couldn’t imagine how full it would be on the exact lunch time peak. In this slow paced restaurant, I finished the meal around 2:30 in the afternoon, and walk around the garden. The garden is not very big but is well decorated, it gives visitors a sense of happiness.
This place is really pink. I had the Thai chicken (360NTD), it tasted quite good! No English menu but the staff speaks a little English. There is an entry fee (4 adults, a child car 400NTD) but some of that can be used towards your food order. 10 minutes away from Lavender cottage. ~1 hour away from Taichung by car.
Nice place to eat after a hike, but the food is expensive and the portions are small . Some nice things to see and do for you and the kids . You pay 100nt to get in , but you can deduct that off food later.
This was a bit of a surprise, as the atmosphere was pleasant, the service was quite good, and the quality of food was better than your average Taiwanese mountain cafe. If course, it's very hokey in its own way, haha... If you like pink, then, this place is for you! But it's just of the main road, easy to access, either for a lunch or dinner, or just a coffee or tea. Nice nature all around you, though the proximity to the road doesn't make you imagine you've just been airlifted into the middle of nowhere... But it still can be utilized so that you can't even register the nearby highway (on the road down from Xinshe toward Guguan). We liked it, with the $100 per person entry fee being directly redeemable for food purchase.
