Les Quais de Taillebourg

Beautiful place on the river, service a little slow, but if they have time, it is no problem. always go for the mush and the salate here. beautifully fresh, large portions and good taste.

Really nice location, but very disappointing service- lasted minutes to take drinks order. it took about an hour to come to eat, had to ask for our food, or we never had it. It was okay. when I told the manager about the ones, he was very angry and refused to believe me. not the location

Have been there today. nice dinner. for naturally eating or the same for a burger and pommes. they also do salate etc. beautiful environment with the flow charente.

Good place to eat for lunch or dinner, I like the steak and chips. Beer is cold and tasty. outdoor play park for the kids, well the adults enjoy relaxing by the river.

We'd visited nearby Port d'Envaux and spotted the red sun umbrellas along the bank as we crossed the river bridge en route home. it looked a nice spot so we drove down to where there's parking available at the end of the building or along the access road. The cafe has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating plus picnic type tables on the river bank. The girl behind the counter was also waiting tables and she was extremely friendly and quick to take our orders which consisted of hot and cold drinks plus Peach Melba. It was a hot and muggy day but there was a welcome imtermitant breeze which made it a very pleasant spot overlooking the river, watching kids swimming and passing river cruise boats. One of the best spots in the area in my opinion.You can hire pedalos and they also have music evenings which are no doubt popular.
