The Good Home Takanini

I had a great meal last night. The ribs were excellent, and the seafood chowder was delightful. The portion sizes were generous, and the service was quick.

For appetizers, we ordered Thai green coconut mussels, mozzarella and garlic pizza bread, and buffalo chicken wings. For our main courses, we had two Surf n Turf dishes, steak with eggs and chips, and pork spare ribs, along with the "Tipsy Maiden" cocktail and some standard drinks. We savored every bite of our meals. The portions were so generous that we couldn't even think about dessert, despite wanting to indulge. However, we did manage to sneak in a chocolate mousse for the birthday girl, who was celebrating her 7th birthday with us last night. This restaurant has definitely become a new favorite local spot for us!

The staff were friendly, and the decor was lovely. I enjoyed the squid, but the prawn dumplings didn't taste quite right; they were a bit dry and sticky on the outside. The garlic pizza was lacking in flavor as well. On the positive side, the coffee was nice. Overall, it was a good experience, and I look forward to trying new menu items next time! Thank you, team!

Have been here a few times. I love their chicken pasta but depend who the cook is lol sometimes it’s a bit more saucy sometimes it’s drier. But we were disappointed with their chicken burger it was pretty average and overpriced. I had the chicken burger at onehunga good home it was absolutely delicious so expected the same here. Good customer service and will come back

Wow. Starting with food I got the lamb shank which was amazing and very big in portion size. My friend got the burger which came with a knife stuck in it. Loved it! We went on Christmas eve and we were surprised with christmas crackers which just made the experience more enjoyable. The staff were very friendly, filling up our water and asking about the food. Loved the experience and would absolutely return!
