Thankfully, El Rancho is the best and only Mexican restaurant in town. You know it’s good when random people recommend El Rancho. Great place to hideout from a passing thunderstorm. The waitress was really nice. Food was good. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Tortilla Chips
The waitstaff at this restaurant seems to have a bias against veterans and appears indifferent to customers who don’t fit that category. I strongly advise against spending your money here! They seem to be focused on charging the maximum for everything – for example, a soda costs $2.25, and if you request a modification to your meal, like having an item served on the side, be prepared to pay extra. I won’t be returning, and I recommend heading to Pam’s Diner instead, where the staff shows respect for American veterans.
The restaurant delivered exactly what I anticipated from Oklahoma Tex-Mex. The salsa tasted like it came from a can, the chips were served cold, and the refried beans seemed like they were out of a can as well—definitely not worth a second bite. The steak was surprisingly good, though it was oddly accompanied by a slice of tomato. They also forgot to bring my tortillas, which I suspect were probably of the Mission brand or something similar. Additionally, there were quite a few dirty tables left with dishes piled on them. If you’ve never had Tex-Mex before, this place is passable; I’d compare it to Taco Bueno. Service: Dine-in.
