Black Dog Cafe - Tallahassee

This lovely coffee shop is situated right by the majestic oaks and a picturesque lake. There are plenty of parking spaces available. I enjoyed a latte and a bagel melt, and the service was fantastic.

Stopped in for coffee with a friend. They have a new covered partial roof for outdoor seating. Great coffee and great service. Highly recommended for a coffee and relaxing visit.

Charming spot with a modest variety of baked goods. Ideal for a quick snack followed by a stroll around the lake. The ambiance is pleasant enough. There is an unusual "secret" door leading to an adjacent space that felt somewhat odd. The restroom was a bit cramped and had a quirky vibe. However, the outdoor area is lovely, featuring a beautiful flower garden.

I absolutely love coming here! The hotel is situated in a fantastic area surrounded by wildlife—mostly ducks, geese, and the occasional squirrel or dog. The atmosphere is wonderful. The interior is aesthetically pleasing, cozy, and welcoming. While the menu may not be extensive, everything they offer is delicious! Personally, I'm a huge fan of the Pesto Provolone Tomato Bagel Melt (I recommend trying it with the asiago bagel), and their coffee is fantastic. They also have vegan options available! I enjoy studying here, and it's definitely my favorite spot to work. Although it can get busy, the staff do an amazing job managing the customers and their orders. Overall, during my time in Tallahassee, I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves coffee, cozy spaces, wildlife, or just needs a quick snack or drink.

My friend and I went here for a quick break, just a great view of the lake, friendly service and great selection of hot and cold drinks. It's behind the American Legion, the same building. It is a few miles from campus, but worth the ride to get there and relax.
