Good value. Great service. Steak was great, mushroom sauce even better! Kids meals standard $12) but you’re paying for the child-friendly deck setting.
Thoroughly enjoyed my meal here. Warm, friendly atmosphere and good, hearty Irish pub food favourites. My lamb stew was delicious and I loved the soda bread (no shame in mopping up the stew! . Many locals frequent the bar and are more than happy to have a yarn. Staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome despite a very busy night. I'd visit Tamborine again just to return to Clancy's.
The Guinness pie at this restaurant is excellent, and the prices for the food are quite reasonable compared to other places on the mountain. The selection of beers on tap is also impressive. I have dined here multiple times for dinner and would definitely return again.
The atmosphere at the restaurant was delightful. The servings of crumbed mushrooms, calamari, and potato skins were generous. The calamari was incredibly tender, the mushrooms were decent, but the potato skins were too thin - thicker ones would have been preferable. Despite the filling entrees, we ordered mains as well. My crispy skinned chicken was disappointing, as the stuffing was dry and flavorless. Instead of Mediterranean vegetables, the dish was served with a large portion of mashed potatoes (not to my liking) and some steamed vegetables. Overall, the meal was average but worth the price.
