I was meeting up with an old friend and chose the Fletchers based on a recent experience. We were not disappointed. It was busy, but then it was a Friday night and there was an artist on, so to be expected. We were seated at the bar for a while whilst we waited for a table. The bar man was friendly and efficient and made me a lovely Aperol Spritz, he even took our photo. Sorry I did not catch your name. Then the friendly chap on front of house came to find us as our table was ready and he introduced us to our waiter, Josh. Josh really looked after us and was friendly and enthusiastic the whole evening. He even came to say goodbye as he finished his shift! I chose the carvery and it was delicious and my friend enjoyed her salmon. The Fletchers never fails to deliver and I will return soon.
Truly awful. The Fletchers is no loger a place I would reccomend. Its now expensive for very average food, prepared with little care. The Fletchers was my go to carvery good value, tastyand great service. Slowly each of those aspects has been eroded until last night's debacle, where the carvery, in particular, was simply dreadful. We ordered a variety of meals the camembert for sharing looked good but had absolutely no flavour at all. The chicken goujons were excellent the only bright spot in our whole experience. On to the main courses with the carvery what can I say? Black, bullet hard sprouts, so long past their best and so overcooked and yet still rock hard how does a sprout actually turn black, and how does a chef not notice? Roasties with more eyes than a year seven class looking at you, Fatty, salty gammon, gravy that tasted only of fat, carrots seemingly long dried up it was like the nightmare carveries of the 1970's, but this time at an inflated price and with added service charge. The other meals were generally spermaket ready meal standard, which is all well and good at a price of around a tenner, but rether less acceptable at £15 plus service. No, we'll not be returning. The food was not good two of us have felt quite sick fr 24 hours after eating.
Amazing staff and Amazing food can't go wrong definitely recommend nothing is to much trouble if you have any food allergy well worth talking to the staff and where possible they will help
Booked on Monday 18th Dec for 26th Dec On arrival we was taken to a table that was no higher than a coffee table, we asked to be moved to another table but was advised there was only this one available , basically like eating your dinner off your lap My mum ordered a dessert and that was the smallest slice i have ever seen in a restaurant The table was sat in a walkway where people with zimmer frames kept knocking into my chair, i have never felt so uncomfortable in a restaurant , also my partner couldn't even fit his legs under the table as the table was that low. We complained to the manager whom wasn't very helpful, she had an attitude problem Told us for future bookings to request a proper table! Wasnt aware they have different size tables in a restaurant and you need to request a big table? Absolutely disgusting and will never eat in there again
