American Social - Tampa

A few weeks ago, I visited this restaurant for a football game and we were served by Kendall. She gave us outstanding service, checking in with our table promptly and showcasing the excellent service provided by the servers here. I returned tonight with a group of 9 and Taya was our server. Once again, we were warmly greeted and received top-notch service. I highly recommend this place for large parties, as well as for its fantastic environment.

The seating at this restaurant was great, but the service was just okay. I have received better service at busier locations before. Unfortunately, every time I wanted a beer, they happened to be out of it. The server didn't even know what beers were on tap, which was surprising. They recommend using a QR code to see the current beer selection, but I prefer not to do so. Overall, the shrimp cakes and shredded beef tacos were very tasty. The prices were typical for the area.

I went to this restaurant on Father's Day 2022 with a small group of friends and family, having made reservations beforehand. The staff at the door seemed a bit disorganized as they struggled to find our table, eventually taking us on a tour of the facility before leaving us outside to wait. I had to remind them that we were still waiting. Despite this hiccup, the ribs were delicious and everyone enjoyed their meals. The tuna tower could have been cooler. The Old Fashioned cocktail was perfect. Overall, it was a very good dining experience.

We visited on a Monday evening with a group of 4 and the waiting was 45 minutes. We went straight to the bar to sit down and were served immediately. The atolls at the bar are wide and comfortable, but they sink, so it is likely time for new upholstery. We had the porridge and goat cheese croquets for appetizers. They were both good and came fast. The pulpits were large and soft (FYI, the honey keratard sauce was better than the beer cheese), and the croquettes had great taste. I didn't order a drink, but my colleague had the smokey old fashion she said was good. The bartender was very attentive and delivered great service and recommendations. I ordered the buffalo flower pizza, and it was delicious, with lots of cheese, big buffalo sauce flavor, and large in size.

I visited Tampa for the weekend and was in a hotel next to this restaurant. I wanted to find a place with good food and a beautiful outdoor vibe. This place seemed to be the perfect place. I arrived at 4:00 and the place was super busy. I didn't have a reservation, so I waited until a place broke up in the bar. The ladies behind the bar were really friendly and service was decent to consider how busy they were. I started shooting and they were really good. I also chose an espresso martini. It wasn't my favorite espresso martini because it wasn't very cold. I like my espresso Martini being cooled and refreshed. Lastly, I decided for the Cobb salad with grilled chicken. It was huge! I definitely enjoyed the salad and had enough to take back to the hotel with me. Overall, I had a nice experience with American Social and would definitely come back when I am back in Tampa.
