Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza - Tampa

Great place for casual eating. the pizza crust is thin crispy. it is “good done” for those who do not likely enjoy the Char aroma. but for me it is a great taste for the varietal toppings. do not forget to order a cold design; the beer is always ice cold!

My love for a nice char on my pizza means I love coal fire ovens. I admit the pizza is very good but not as good as I imagined. It's a beautiful place, nice and clean, the staff friendly. Nice outdoor seating beckons. Good cheese with a very nice sauce, it was the dough that puzzled me, the bottom should have been crisp and crunchy but it was chewy. The crust was awesome, I wish there were more...there was just a thin sliver of crust which was the best part of the pie. Did not do wings for 2 reasons, too expensive and premade, left on the counter and reheated when ordered.

Dined in and wasn't impressed with the service. They were friendly but we didn't see our server much and he forgot my cappuccino. Not a big deal. Pizza took a while but it was a busier evening. Had the small salad and shared with my husband. We definitely will try the larger salad if you want more than just a side salad amount. I enjoyed the stone fire flavor so we will give them a try inside again.

There's something about food cooked over charcoal that just tastes better, like what do they think a pizza will taste like when cooked that way? We were hungry and randomly stumbled upon this restaurant to try their pizza. It's a clean and beautiful establishment with friendly staff and seating options. We tried their wings and the meatball pizza, and both were delicious. The pizza crust was exceptional, and the hint of charcoal flavor really elevated the dish. We will definitely be returning!

We visit this restaurant every week on our days off and sit at the bar. Nadine always makes us feel special. She knows our order and takes great care of us. The food is always amazing.
