Church's Texas Chicken - Tampa

I went through the drive-thru and ordered a chicken sandwich meal with a side of ranch. The bill seemed high and I noticed a $10 charge, which turned out to be because Laronda added a side of potatoes to my order without my consent. When I reached the drive-thru window, I explained that I hadn’t ordered the potatoes and only wanted the ranch. The young woman at the window insisted I was mistaken and claimed she heard the order correctly. I've never encountered such disrespectful service; being told I'm wrong in such a rude manner was uncalled for. If she doesn’t learn how to handle customers better, I can only imagine what her future holds. On a previous visit, I had to wait for my food, and the manager had already received complaints about the staff being rude and unbearable. Clearly, there’s a lack of proper management here, as the staff seemed to find my situation amusing. It’s evident they don’t care about their customers. I’ll take my business elsewhere.

As soon as I walked in, I felt the need to leave immediately! An employee was in a heated argument with a customer, and no one seemed ready to serve food. The few people who stayed were just waiting around, caught in the chaos of the almost-fight happening in the lobby. They may have changed their name, but the atmosphere is as unruly as ever. I give it two thumbs down!

I used to love Church Fried Chicken—it was fantastic. Unfortunately, my recent visit was a huge disappointment. The chicken was so dry that I had to pick the meat apart before I could even give it to the local cats. This just goes to show what can happen when you go through the drive-thru and only discover your food is terrible once you’re home.

The chicken was always good here, but recently the chicken has no taste at all. Like literally, they fried the chicken from the box, baked and fried deep. Where is the subtle saltiness and buttermilk soup that makes the meat juicy and tender? The cookies were also hard as a rock with very economical honey butter drizzled over it. I'm very disappointed. Churches Chicken traditionally had good chicken, but it will never be able to shake its low quality and sloppy image if it is not better to manage its quality control. It also starts searching for a way to find employees who will be proud of what they do instead of getting people who do not motivated or take care of doing a good job.

Can I give zero stars because this location deserves negative. They didn?t want to add on a drink at the window they can?t add on she says. 2 different people got on the speaker rushing us for this order nothing comes with a side that?s not mashed potatoes. Alright then. Rude rude people not one person in the drive thru except us. Will never come back here I wish I could drive my truck into the building that?s how rude your employees are to customers who pay to eat so that they have a job
