We had 3 different types of main dishes YeDoro Watt, Kay Watt, Chef Tibbs these came with other veggie dishes served around the dish with injera (Brot). We also had the Veggie Sambusa as an appetizer and it was amazing. Everything is freshly cooked and it was worth waiting. I recommend this place. They even sell spices here. If you're in the area you need to try.
Always delicious food, very nice owners, the music is always beautiful and it smells delicious inside! Athena is so sweet and will always make sure you have something you love, and Ter is a fantastic cook. Many vegan options and they will help you find something when it is your first time. I wanted to give them 10 stars. Try the Sambusa and the lemonade! Our family always leaves full of remains and the prices are great.
Food and service was 5 stars!!! The best Ethiopian food I've ever eaten. I had the great balance of spices, acidity and spices. The hot tea with a small tea helped with some sugar, the meal in a way I can't even explain. Veg. Sambusa also had an app that was from this world! Totally recommended!!! If you like taste and have never tried Ethiopian food you can't go wrong.
The first time this Ethiopian restaurant tried and it was really delicious. We have a vegetarian and meat combination we had the chicken beef and lamb, lentils, beets, cabbage and potato salad, all at the top of the typical bread Injera, where the bread softens in meat and salad juices and tastes delicious. Typical Ethiopian food it eats with your hands and a plate to share with your family, but if you don't feel comfortable, they offer you forks or whatever. But we wanted the real experience to use our hands. We have Sambusas for appetizers, a beer for me???? it was great ..Restaurant was clean and service was good, music was??? we love the atmosphere.
Wow! After years of not having Ethiopian food, this place satisfied every craving and more! To start I had a hot tea and my boyfriend had a sweet iced tea. The chai is home blended to perfection, some of the best balance of spices I?ve ever had. For dinner we ordered the veg combo for two as well as the ye-doro watt(chicken). Everything dish had its own flavors and was cooked perfectly. The chicken slid off the bone and the injera make my water just thinking about it. To make the experience even better, the owner Athena made us feel right at home with her kindness and hospitality. We will be back every time we?re in Tampa!
