It's completed with half a boiled sweet potato and half a boiled white potato, all generously topped with marinated onions. I like mine medium spicy, and it’s absolutely delicious! The Arroz Chaufa de Carne, or Peruvian beef fried rice, is equally impressive. Yes, it surpasses Terra Sur's offering. First of all, the price is quite reasonable—a larger portion at Norky's is just $9.99, compared to $15 at Terra Sur. Even though the beef in Norky's dish is cut smaller, they are much more generous overall with the quantity. Most importantly, Norky's has perfected the seasoning of both their beef and rice, while Terra Sur’s meat lacked depth of flavor. In addition, the Aguadito—chicken rice soup with cilantro—is a must-try if you enjoy organ meats and neck bones. This homemade soup is hearty and incredibly flavorful. Now, let’s talk about the Papa Rellena, which is a fried mashed potato stuffed with ground beef, olives, and boiled eggs, topped with marinated spicy onions. I've tried this dish at both Norky's and Terra Sur, and there’s simply no comparison: Norky's is much more flavorful and provides one larger portion instead of two smaller ones. Plus, their marinated onions are more delicious. I truly like Terra Sur, but I LOVE Norky's! I encourage you to visit both places and share your thoughts. Just to mention, Norky's is a small, unpretentious spot that seats about 15-20 people, while Terra Sur is beautifully decorated and offers a selection of wine and beer. I’m not much of a drinker, so I can't say for sure if you can get alcoholic beverages at Norky's, but they do serve a delightful sweet drink made from purple maize, called Chicha Morada, which is a fantastic choice! And one last note: you can't miss the Crema Volteada, which is a Peruvian flan. It’s lighter and airier than typical flans and truly INCREDIBLE! Norky's does offer a small selection of bottled beers as well.
The papa a la huancaina was excellent, and the grilled chicken had just the right flavor. The French fries were perfectly crunchy, and the portion sizes were generous. I went for a late lunch, and even as they began receiving dinner takeout orders, the service remained friendly and prompt.
The restaurant was average, and the chicken was just okay. However, the fries and hot sauce were enjoyable. Overall, it wasn’t impressive enough for me to make the effort to return.
Returned with family to eat after 3 years, and the food quality went down . The rotisserie chicken was not fully cooked the fries were cold , the green pasta was extremely salty and the picarones diid not taste good at all. Unfortunately not returning to this restaurantFood: 1/5
I really enjoy the pollo a la brasa, and the service is quite good. However, the restaurant is too dark for my liking, so I prefer to get my food to go. Food rating: 4/5.
