Strandhill Public - Tampa

I visited this pub for the first time on St. Patrick's Day, and I must say it was one of the best Irish pubs I’ve ever been to. The menu and atmosphere are exactly what you’d expect from an Irish establishment. If you're unsure about what to order, I highly recommend the beef stew or the shepherd's pie—both are incredibly well-seasoned and deserve a perfect 10 out of 10 for flavor. For our appetizer, we tried the Irish egg, which I would rate an 8 out of 10. It was cooked just right, though I felt the pork sausage could have used a bit more seasoning. Other than that, everything was fantastic—from the friendly staff to the amazing food and drinks.

During our business trip, we decided to visit this Irish pub restaurant since it was just a short walk from our hotel. The menu offered a great selection, and the service was excellent! We started with the Whisky BBQ wings as our appetizer, and each of us ordered a half-sized Pecan Pear Blue salad for dinner, which was the perfect amount! Every bite was absolutely delicious! We were completely satisfied with both the taste and the price. Our waitress suggested we try the fish and chips on our next visit, which we definitely plan to do if we’re ever back in the area!

The food was also excellent. The first time, I tried the shepherd's pie, which was truly exceptional. The ratio of potatoes to lamb was just right, and the quality of the ingredients exceeded my expectations for the price. On my second visit, I had the mussels, and the flavor of the broth was incredible. They didn't skimp on the bread for dipping, and the portion size was generous—more like an entrée. Considering it’s located in a largely uninspired shopping plaza, this place really excels and easily outshines the other dining options nearby. One last detail worth mentioning: this is the only place in the U.S. where I’ve seen a bartender pour a proper glass of Guinness. It was a delightful surprise to see it done correctly!

So I wasn’t sure what to expect but after several visits Strandhill has become our favorite place to go. The patio is amazing but hands down the best staff ever! All the servers and bartenders are attentive and sweet. We came back in today and it was really busy but everyone was super friendly and worked really hard to take care of everything we needed! I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a classy yet chill and comfortable vibe!

Our first time here. Traveling from out of town. Staying at hotel next door. This place is legit. Tasty. Friendly. Great selections of Irish Whiskey. Do it. Come here!
